Man United re-sign Ronaldo
Manchester United have of course re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo, over a decade after he departed the club for Real Madrid.
Ronaldo, as per Man United, is back on a two-year deal with an option of an extra year:

It was reported that Ronaldo has set the Red Devils back an initial £12.8m.
CR7 has, despite only featuring twice for Man United, marked his return to the club with a bang.
The 36-year-old would net a brace on his debut vs Newcastle United.

This was followed by Ronaldo scoring the opener in Man United’s Champions League clash with Young Boys last week, before then netting the equaliser for United as they came from 1-0 down to beat West Ham 2-1 over the weekend.

After all, if Ronaldo sees out his two-year deal plus the option for the extra year, he will be 39 years of age.
One person who likely would not be too happy about this, though, is Ronaldo’s mum.
Speaking to Portuguese outlet Record recently, Ronaldo’s mum has told her son that she wants him to come back to Sporting before she dies:
“Ronaldo has to come back here, he’d be here for me. He likes watching Sporting’s games. I’ve already told him: ‘Son, before I die I want to see you return to Sporting’. ‘Let’s see… .’, he said. But if it isn’t, it’s Cristianinho! At his age, he plays better than Ronaldo. At the time, Ronaldo didn’t have a coach, but today Ronaldo is his son’s teacher. ‘Dad, when we move to Lisbon I want to play for Sporting’. Now it’s starting at Manchester. Seeing the two of them together at Sporting was my dream, it was spectacular”
