Lookman heading back to England
Leicester City look set to grant a Premier League return to former Everton and Fulham England youth international Ademola Lookman, who is undergoing his medical ahead of a season-long loan away from Saxony outfit RB Leipzig.

Should a deal be completed, Lookman will be the fifth summer signing for Brendan Rodgers after Leicester secured deals for Patson Daka, Boubacakay Soumaré, Jannick Vestergaard, and Ryan Bertrand in what is badly needed depth in quality for the Foxes.
Lookman would arrive at the King Power Stadium on loan for the duration of the 2021-22 campaign, with an option to buy inserted into the agreement.
A fresh start for Lookman at Leicester
A product of Charlton’s academy set-up, Ademola Lookman was once part of a crop of English youngsters with big expectations. However, after moving from The Valley to Everton in 2017, Lookman failed to truly kick on and was first loaned to RB Leipzig the following year and purchased by the Saxony side outright one year further on.
There he failed to make the grade under Julian Nagelsmann overall and was eventually shuttled out to Fulham last season under Scott Parker. Given the wealth of attacking options at Red Bull Arena under Jesse Marsch, Lookman is once again viewed as surplus to requirements but could potentially rekindle his career under Brendan Rodgers with the Foxes lacking true depth in wide attacking areas.
With just Harvey Barnes and Marc Albrighton the only true wide players on the books at Leicester despite the addition of Patson Daka and continued employment of Ayoze Pérez, there is scope to suggest that Lookman could see considerable time under Rodgers this term, but certainly will be higher up the pecking order at the King Power than his current employers.
