If you tried to grill chuck roast quickly, the meat would be so tough it would be in edible. Potatoes lend them selves well to frying or boiling and mashing. Green beans, not so much. Although recently people have been batter dipping green beans and calling them bean fries… The point is you want to know your foods to know which method is best for that food.
